Hi, Welcome to Angling Coaching, I'm Carl McCormack.

Here at Angling Coaching my aim is to encourage beginners and teach those who want to improve their fishing skills.

Anyone who would like to go fishing, from beginner through to the angler who would like to learn more about commercial coarse fishing techniques are catered for.

Don't hesitate to contact me if you would like to have a chat about my coaching sessions whether you just want to learn how to catch more fish or better quality fish, or if you have specific techniques that you want to learn or improve.

Everyone is welcome and sessions are friendly, relaxed and enjoyable.

Coaching Sessions

Senior Coaching Session:

All sessions can be tailored to suit individual requirements and abilities.
Cost: To be arranged.
Longer sessions available on request (subject to additional hourly charges).

Junior Coaching Session (ages 10-16):

Hourly rate - To be arranged.

Half Price Offer: (Limited Time Only):

A block of 4 x 4 hour sessions tailored to each junior angler's ability, helping to maximize their enjoyment and potential - Cost: To be arranged.

Summer Coaching School:

A series of 4 x 3 hour sessions run on a Friday evening or a Saturday morning, between June and September.

Each block will be limited to 4 students to ensure that every student gains the most from each session - Cost: To be arranged.

Courses will run subject to interest.

Schools, Youth Clubs and Junior Angling Clubs all welcome!

Credentials

Personal Profile:

Qualified by the PAA, (Professional Anglers Association), to coach angling to a level 2 standard. I am a motivated, approachable individual who is welcoming and friendly. I have excellent communication skills and the ability to create a safe and enjoyable environment for people to learn in.

I am running coaching sessions from Partridge Lakes Fisheries in Culcheth, Warrington. However, I am also available to travel by request.

Welcoming beginners to more experienced anglers of all age groups and abilities, who require coaching. I can provide on peg tuition, whether its turning missed bites into fish or casting a method feeder within inches of the far bank reeds.

Modern commercial fishery tactics, pole fishing for carp, silverfish, pellet waggler, feeder fishing (method, pellet, openended and maggot feeder), winter bomb fishing, P.V.A bags.

Baits:

Maggot, caster, meat, pellet, paste, chopped worm and caster, groundbait, bread punch bloodworm and joker.

Angling Experience:

I started fishing with my dad at the age of 4 on the local park lakes of Liverpool. As I got older and my love for fishing grew, I then progressed onto river fishing on the River Dane around Northwich. After joining Halton Joint Anglers I spent many years fishing the Bridgewater canal around Runcorn learning many skills, from pole fishing for roach, bream and carp to breaking ice and winkling out a pound of gudgeon on bread punch or squats. It was at this time I took my first steps into match fishing at junior level, achieving some success.

At the age of 17, I got the commercial fishery bug going to venues in and around Warrington and Cheshire, where I learnt and honed many of todays commercial fishery skills. I now spend most of my time fishing, competing and regularly framing in matches at Partridge Lakes, Warrington, where I am the on-site coach.
